Better practice performance starts with understanding the practice itself.

After nearly 20 years working across healthcare, I never imagined my career would lead me outside of nursing. But as I explored other areas of the industry, two experiences changed how I understood the challenges facing independent medical practices.

While working with a health information exchange, I saw how technology could give smaller practices access to hospital discharge notifications, specialist reports, and other valuable patient information. Yet access to more information didn't automatically mean better coordination or improved outcomes.

Someone still needed to determine who would follow up with patients, how outstanding care needs would be tracked, and whether that information was actually changing what happened next.

Later, while working around healthcare marketing and technology companies, I noticed another disconnect. Practices were being encouraged to attract more patients, even when they were already struggling with quality scores, reimbursement penalties, missed preventive care, or managing chronic conditions.

Those experiences led me to a question that ultimately shaped DataDriven Care:

What if independent practices focused first on understanding how well they're caring for the patients they already have?

That's why I started DataDriven Care.

I help independent primary care practices look beyond their reported numbers to understand what's happening across their patient populations, workflows, and daily operations. From there, we can identify what matters most and develop improvement strategies that reflect the practice's actual resources and limitations.

Because physicians are trained to care for individual patients. But today's healthcare environment also requires practices to manage population health, quality reporting, care coordination, and reimbursement risk—often without the staffing or systems needed to manage all of it effectively.

My goal is to help independent practices make informed improvements that support better patient outcomes, protect reimbursement, and strengthen their ability to remain independent.
